Interview with Altaïr

Altaïr is a first-year preparatory class student at Intuit Lab School and she tells us a little more about herself 🙂

Hello Altair,

Introduce yourself in a few words, 

My name is Altaïr, I am 19 years old. I am curious and I try to expand my knowledge in all areas that may interest me: reading, cinema, art, ecology, feminism ...

I'm a very organized person, but I also love spending time with my friends, who are pillars of support for me. I often lack self-confidence, and this year the Intuit Lab School has helped me believe a little more in my work and my abilities.

Describe your educational path from Bac, 

I had my scientific baccalaureate in 2018. After which, I spent a few months at the Faculty, in Bachelor of Geography. I already knew more or less that I did not want to go down this path and although it was interesting I did not want to do my second semester.

I then started taking drawing classes in a workshop , I travelled, went to see quite a few exhibitions… It was after that that I applied and was accepted to the Intuit Lab School!

What training are you?

I have just finished my year in Preparatory class at the Intuit Lab School and I will continue the curriculum at the school in the second year of Bachelor.

What are your extracurricular activities at school?

Outside of school, I do classical dance! I've been practicing for about fifteen years as a complete amateur, and I love it; it allows me to escape. It was actually the first discipline that introduced me to art!

Why did you choose the Intuit Lab School?

I chose the Intuit Lab School for its multi-disciplinary approach ; I'm the type to explore many disciplines rather than delve into just one.

Its international outlook also interested me, as I have always found different cultures fascinating and loved to travel.

I also really appreciated the concept of " creative intelligence " that the school promotes!

What are, in your eyes, the 3 main assets of the Intuit Lab School?

Once again, its multidisciplinary nature, with subjects that complement each other and give everyone the opportunity to flourish.

The different rates of work: projects to be carried out in several weeks, throughout the year, to be carried out in one course or even over a week.

Working with professionals , whether professors or guest speakers during project weeks and workshops , is important, especially in this type of study. I find it crucial to be in contact with people who understand the realities of the profession and who share that knowledge with us.

What are your ambitions for the future?

I haven't decided yet, I'm thinking first about succeeding in my Bachelor's degree and probably also my Master's degree at the Intuit Lab School.

After that several areas interest me: scenography, publishing or communication (for companies or organizations that respect or defend the values ​​that are important to me!).
