International Workshops 2023: The artists of the 21st edition

Various universes

Share

From May 9 to 12, the Paris campus comes alive with international workshops.

Three artist duos with three distinct universes come to share their know-how and enrich the learning of our Bachelor 2 and 3 students during this 2023 edition. Between minimalism, technology, and responsibility, design is revealed in different facets and shows new interpretations. We present you the inspiring projects designers who will lead these international workshops.

Concept design

The photographs of Anna Devis & Daniel Rueda do not go unnoticed! If you love symmetrical compositions and colors, their creations will catch your eye. Passionate about travel and architecture, the Spanish duo captures the scene from a poetic and minimalist angle. The facades of the buildings are transformed into a work of art, colorful and filled with joy. Designers stage themselves to build their recognizable aesthetic in the blink of an eye. Both ambassadors of the camera manufacturer Hasselblad and included in the Art and Culture list of Forbes 30 Under 30 Europe 2020, they have collaborated with major brands such as Adobe, Nissan, Kenzo, LG or Roland Garros.

Experimental design

With their experimental design lab aerosoap, the designers Thomas Wirtz & Frédéric Wiegand carry out projects at the crossroads of art, design, and science. The Germans are experimenting and innovating to transform messages into tangible experiences. Technology blends with design and brings it a new field of possibilities. Their projects have been awarded the Red Dot Best of the Best in 2016, the Bavarian State Prize for Young Designers and the European Design Award, among others.

Responsible design

Maude Bouchard, Director of the Graphic Design Program at Laval University School of Design in Quebec and Sylvie Pouliot, who taught there for 24 years, co-founded Atelier DIR (Involved and Responsible Design). Within the university, their location combines graphic design with finding solutions to environmental and social issues. Their students are invited to reflect and create to raise awareness, respond to current issues and transmit engaging messages. Design shows here its power of impact and the role it has to play in the evolution of society and our thoughts.

Personalized international workshops always so rich to live for the students of Intuit Lab!
