Ruedi Baur

Multidisciplinary designer and teacher-researcher, Ruedi Baur is the sponsor of our 2021 class.

Translating the soul of a public space through design and graphics. This is the mission of Franco-Swiss designer Ruedi Baur, to whom we owe the visual identity and signage of the Centre Pompidou, New School in New York, and most recently the graphic charter of A HUNDRED AND FOUR in Paris. At the head of his own workshops Integral Ruedi Baur based in Paris and Zurich, Ruedi Baur uses graphic expression to identify a place, to guide and inform its visitors. At the same time, this visual and textual work participates in the scenography of institutions and urban spaces.

Graphic designer in his beginnings, Ruedi Baur makes people interact interdisciplinary design with architecture and space design. The concepts of his work are reflected in his teacher and researcher activity. Coordinator of the design department of the École des Beaux-Arts de Lyon between 1989 and 1996, he shared his knowledge in China, Argentina, Brazil and Europe. It is today teacher and researcher at HEAD Geneva, ENSAD Paris, University of Strasbourg, as well asat the School of Decorative Arts in Paris.

Author of several books on graphic design and his research career as Travel between languages (2018), Ruedi Baur is a polyglot by birth. Plurilingualism is at the heart of its projects. The next to discover: Greater Paris transport signage available in five languages. Sponsor of our class of 2021, discover the graduation ceremony with 100% success!
