How to design the future?
To enable our students to become designers capable of adapting to the evolving nature of their profession, reinventing themselves, and preparing for new challenges, our teaching approach "must be flexible and original, focusing not on training for specific jobs but on developing career paths." In an interview on the B Smart channel for the Smart Education program, Clément Derock, co-founder of the Intuit Lab School , discussed the foundations of design professions and what makes our creative pedagogy unique . Here, our students blend theory and practice, take a cross-disciplinary approach to different specializations, and learn to develop their creativity, explore their strengths, and assert their individuality.
“In the world of design, we must envision things universally, and not have a single perspective limited by a single culture in a given place. Design, even though it's a profession where you have to solve a problem, you solve a problem of your time, within a specific environment and under the influence of culture,” asserts Clément Derock, emphasizing the importance of global awareness for a designer . “That's why we encourage our students to go and see the world,” particularly through internships abroad , university exchanges, and international workshops.
