Conference: Lettering and illustration with Matthieu Verlaine and Eloise Gillard

Matthieu Verlaine and Eloise Gillard gave a conference on our campus in Paris on "Lettering & Illustration, finding your way, inventing your job".
Each month, our students have the opportunity to discover professions, universes, and to meet professionals during our educational conferences. During the week dedicated to the “WHY” of the Masters cycle, our students were able to discuss on February 24, 2022 with Matthieu Verlaine, alumni who graduated in 2017 from the Intuit Lab School, who became a letter artist and sign painter, and Eloise Gillard, illustrator. Both have undertaken a collaborative work around typography and illustration that they shared during the conference “Lettering & Illustration, finding your way, inventing your job”.
Through their creative and luminous testimony, Matthieu Verlaine and Eloise Gillard echoed the search for the “Why” among our students: knowing why we do our work, finding meaning in it, building a path that resonates with us. They have thus demonstrated that finding one's creative path is decisive, fulfilling and demanding. Enriching exchanges that the students greatly appreciated!
